This set was recorded from John Peel's BBC programme around 1997/1998. Classic uncompromising techno from one half of British Murder Boys, who are one of my biggest influences and capture the spirit of cyberpunk.
John Peel of course, was also a big influence. He never played it safe. A godfather of independent music. I remember reading in an interview about how he viewed techno as the modern day punk music. That the artists remained faceless because it was not about the money or the fame. That is what I love about techno such as this. It is a reaction to the greed of capitalist society. Using the latest technology and soundtracking the increasing pace of modern day dystopia.
